Description

Situated just 29km off the N3 in the mid Drakensberg (half way between Pretoria and the coast), the quaint village of Geluksburg is home to Gina's Self Catering Chalets.
 
Whether you need to simply escape from it all, or you are looking for a real challenge - you'll find it here. Activities include off road tracks for serious quad bike or 4x4 enthusiast, hiking, swimming, birding (if your are lucky you may spot the Ground Hornbill) or picnicking by the waterfall.
 
Enjoy and relax at our unspoilt place where the guineafowls and hornbills will entertain you. This is a nature lovers paradise where crime is at a minimum. You can walk freely in our town and visit the "mall" where you can buy bare essentials (remember to bring your own if you can't live on wilson toffees and bread only!) we also have 2 petrolpumps without petrol so remember your own. All you need for our fully equipped chalets is your own food, drinks, clothes, towels, fuel. Meals available if requested in advance.

    We have several routes ranging from 10km to 80 kms. (Phone Geoff for more info on our other routes). Also see June issue of Quad-SA.
     
    We have Quad Bikes for hire for 1 hour rides but prefer you to bring your own.
    We welcome especially organised groups, families and people who love nature and respect it.

    Lost Valley Tours:(Day Trip - See price list)

    The Lost Valley routes are on private property, exclusive for the use by Ginas' guests. There are braai facilities available, and Braai packs may be purchased from Gina's. This is a day trip via Bezuidenhout's Pass with a waterfall, two river crossings, swimming pool, walks, horse rides or just lie under the trees at the river.

    Includes circular route of +/- 80km up Bezuidenhout's Pass - One of the most beautiful passes and down the Lost Valley. This is a day route. We leave +/- 9:00am and get back at +/- 3:00pm. Included is a braai down at the waterfall in the Lost Valley plus one cool-drink. The pass is quite rough and the scenery is awesome. This is a tour not to be missed.
     
    4x4
    NB 4x4's are not allwed down the valley. They can go to the top of the valley, and then return to Ginas for a Braai at our Lapa.
     
    Mountain Bikes
    Routes can be altered for mountain bikes. We have several routes you can choose from.
