DescriptionAma Casa Selfcatering Cottages are located in the central drakensberg and enjoy panoramic views of Champagne Castle and Cathkin peaks. The resort comprises of three luxury, secluded cottages - Sunbird, Hoopoe and Kingfisher, each with its own private jaccuzi. Sunbird cottage sleeps six in 3 bedrooms (2 with queen beds, 1 with 2 single beds) each with an en suite bath, shower, toilet and two vanities. All 3 bedrooms have DSTV and open out onto the magnificent mountain view.There is a spacious lounge and patio with braai area, large flat screen TV and DVD. A broadband hotspot lets you keep up to date and for those chilly winter evenings there is underfloor heating and a fireplace! There is a six seater jaccuzi adjacent to the large patio. Kingfisher and Hoopoe are loft style two sleepers (King or two singles) Each cottage has a fully equiped kitchen, its own hot tub on the braai patio, full bathroom with outdoor shower and flat screen TV. (DSTV) A broadband hotspot is available and the underfloor heating and fireplace keep you warm on chilly nights. Hoopoe is wheelchair friendly. Located off the N3, it is easily accessible by car from Johannesburg or Durban - allow 4-5 hours from Johannesburg and 2-2.5 hours from Durban. Declared a World Heritage site, the Drakensberg is the ideal place to relax and unwind, a haven of peace and tranquillity in a busy world. The fireplace and underfloor heating in all units make winter an ideal getaway time. Our mission is to provide you with exceptional accommodation, privacy and peace in a magnificent location. In addition, we are a child-free zone – no children under 13 years accepted. Sunbird Cottage is in a secluded location with outstanding panoramic views.
