At Windmill Lodge we believe in good home-style cooking. Whether it’s a hearty country breakfast, a tasty pub grub lunch or a four-course meal, you’ll find the fare deliciously satisfying.

For those just passing through, our light lunch menu is bound to make Windmill Lodge an enticing port of call.

The hotel pub - complete with pool table - and non-smoking ladies bar provide a relaxing atmosphere in which to spend time with friends during those misty Midlands evenings.

The extensive wine list and selection of local, South African and International brews ensures every meal is wonderfully complemented, no matter what your preference.

The dining area can seat up to 100 guests and theme evenings are available on request.

At Windmill Lodge you can be as laid-back or as active as you choose. Lounge around our swimming pool in the warmth of the country sun. Sink a few (balls and beers) as you enjoy a game of pool in the pub. Or do nothing at all if that’s what grabs your fancy.

Or why not make use of our great outdoors? The rolling expanse of grasslands where wide-eyed oribi spring away at your approach is ideal for self-guided hikes. What’s more, with over 200 species of bird this is a twitcher’s paradise. And a dam crammed with lazy trout is sure to interest any fly-fishing enthusiast.

Horse riding, hot air ballooning, Karkloof canopy tours, abseiling, quad biking or a round of golf on a picturesque course can all be arranged. Perhaps you would like to treat yourself to a visit to the nearby Brookdale Spa where you can be pampered with a range of relaxing treatments? As they say, your wish is our command.

Not all the activities take place at the Lodge, therefore please contact us should you wish to have bookings made on your behalf. It is advisable that arrangements be made prior to arrival to ensure early bookings and avoid disappointment. We will only be too happy to assist.

At Windmill Lodge we provide a level of excellence that will have you coming back for more. Given the picturesque Midlands setting, professional and friendly staff, delicious home-style cooking and comfortable accommodation that ensures each delegate enjoys the privacy of his or her own room, this is the perfect place for your company to come brainstorm strategic matters.

Private and peaceful, the fully equipped conference room accommodates up to 100 delegates and is the ideal facility for any business function, strategic planning workshop, think tanks or executive meeting.

Conference room facilities include data projector, overhead projector, flipchart, white board and markers, notepad and pens.

PLEASE NOTE: All tea and meal times should be organised prior to the conference to ensure no interruptions. For prompt lunch service, we request delegates to make the meal selection during morning tea. Drinks are served at an additional cost. Please arrange for post conference drinks/ sundowners beforehand. TOMSA levy is not included in the rate.

FROM DURBAN: Travelling on the Nw from Durban, take the Nottingham Road turn off ext 132, turn left and back over the bridge. On the tar rood, 500m on your right next to the BP Garage is Stonehaven Lodge.
