What do our users think23.06.2009 by P. Lees - Cruiselite Tours & Safaris from S. Africa
- 5/5 - We had rather specific, unusual needs for this stay and were VERY impressed by the extremely helpful attitude by all members of staff. We were made to feel very welcome and were impressed by the general high standards that were set. the rooms were comfortable and very clean. Although the gardens were not at there best because of the upcoming Winter they were very neat and tidy. We would certainly recommend this venue.

- 2/5 - Based on the fact the B&B was 4 star, I booked out 14 of the 15 rooms, on the night that i got married, for my husband's family. I was terribly dissapointed that not one of my guests had a positve response about the place due to the lack of hospitality. It is highly unlikely that they would opt to stay in this guest lodge again if they are ever in Ladysmith.

- 2/5 - I must admit that I was also disappointed in our stay. We were not made to feel welcome, in fact, quite the contrary. My husband was locked out of the main house in the evening and we were watched and monitored at all times. One mustn't run a B&B if you cannot trust your guests, as being continually watched and made to feel like we were doing something wrong was uncomfortable.
28.04.2009 by Suntika Biseswar from South Africa - Durnfords lodge is without doubt the worst accomodation I have ever had. the hosts were offensive and extremly racist. the rooms were dirty and no noise was permitted at all even for parties and events. I will most certainly not return to this venue.
